Children LTS Program
Children Learn To Swim programs are focused on;
1) Water Confidence
2) Stroke Knowledge
3) Water Survival Skills
4) Stamina
5) Character Development
6) Interest in Swimming
When a child enrolls into the LTS program, he/she will be evaluated on the level of water competency. Once evaluated, the child will be placed into a class of equivalent standard to promote learning in a group.
A child will be evaluated and placed in one of this 3 categories.
Beginner Stage
In this stage, students will be introduced to water familiarization and building up the correct foundations of swimming. Student will learn to not only swim, but to enjoy the water like never before!
Intermediate Stage
Survival skills and strokes will be introduced in this stage. The 4 strokes will be taught to the students in a refined progression to ensure that every movement is done with correct emphasis, and every student will find that swimming is not that hard actually. Static drills like diving, start turns and finish and some rules on swimming will be taught as well.
Advance Stage
In the advanced stage, students will be exposed to more swimming to build up endurance and stamina. In this stage, students who are ready will be given a chance to sign up for Bronze National Survival Swimming Award. Students who have achieved this can move on to sign up for the silver and gold award as well.
Competitive Stage ( Optional )
Students and their parents will decide if they want to continue in the competitive stage. In this stage, swimming endurance will be kept at a high pace and at the same time, speed training will be included as well to clock in better times.(NOTE : In this stage, alot of communication has to be made between student, parent and myself because of the intensity of the training program. The child must display a high level of interest be a competitve swimmer and also show a good feel of the water to be able to excel in the competitive scene.
